Because it is so close to Valentines day, parents even get a chance to have some time to themselves! Come on out and reconnect with friends and have a BLAST with the CCO staff!!
Challenger Spring Weekend

A weekend full of fun and excitement with challenger friends and counselors! Come spend the weekend playing at camp in the spring. Program to include: swimming, sledding, snow shoeing, activities at the Kiva and evening activities.

Come and help us get ready for an amazing summer! Projects include painting cabins, spring cleaning of buildings, landscaping, program development, and more. One free night stay at Snow Mountain Ranch on either Friday, May 18th or Saturday , May 19th; additional night only $49. There will be a CCO campfire on Saturday night, complete with s'mores and songs! Join us for a special Sunday morning chapel service at Snow Mountain Ranch’s Whispering Pines Chapel the next day. All ages welcome. Note: in case of inclement weather, we also need assistance with ‘indoor’ projects.
Wilderness First Responder (WFR)

Offered through Wilderness Medical Institute of NOLS
10 Day, 80 hour course. Essential for anyone who spends significant time in remote places, the WFR course will prepare you to make difficult medical decisions. Half your time you will spend outside of the classroom doing hands on skills and realistic scenarios. In addition, you'll participate in a full-scale night mock rescue. WMI's curriculum encompasses a wide range of topics including long term patient care, wound management, straightening angulated fractures, reducing dislocations, litter packaging and administering medications. You'll complete this course with the tools and confidence to manage patients in the backcountry for multiple days.

Fast paced and hands-on, this two day course covers a wide range of wilderness medicine topics for people who travel in the outdoors. Whether spending time in the backcountry is your passion or your profession, you should never have to ask, "What do I do now?" On this course, you'll learn how to prepare for the unexpected. WMI's curriculum is unique and includes many advanced topics that other programs leave out such as dislocation reduction, focused spinal assessment and epinephrine administration. In just two days, you'll have the knowledge, skills and ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. This course is ideal for trip leaders, camp staff, outdoor enthusiasts and individuals in remote locations. WMI's course is pre-approved by such organizations as the American Camping Association, the United States Forest Service, and other governmental agencies. This course does not include CPR.
