Theme Weeks!

Each week at Camp Chief Ouray has a different theme, which starts at the first campfire and concludes at the last campfire.  The theme permeates mealtimes and sets the stage for the evening activities.  The counselors and staff pour their creativity and energy into making the theme weeks fun for everyone.  The theme weeks for summer 2012 are listed below. 

Session 1: Olympics (The gold medal standard to start out the summer, there's skater and swimmers, croqueters and runners.)

Session 2: Harry Potter (CCO is now Hogwarts, quiditch might be your hobby, be on the lookout for mystery, and don't trip over Dobby.)

Session 3: Supers vs. Villains (From Lex Luthor to Batman there's now way to hide, be it villain or hero you must choose a side.)

Session 4 & Mini Camp: Holidays (On Christmas, on Valentines, on Arbor Day and Porum, this week is a fun filled holiday forum.)

Session 5: Wild Wild West (This week is a showdown, a wild west blast, to see who can draw on the biggest mustache!)

Session 6: Star Wars (Light-years of references we all will recap, like when admiral Ackbar proclaims "it's a trap".)

Session 7: Pirates vs. Ninjas (Be a pirate, be reckless, the deck you must clean, unless you're a ninja, then you'll never be seen.)

Session 8: Music (No need for your I-pods when you just made the band, we've got Amadeus and Jackson, Usher and Chopin.)

Session 9: Movies (Lights camera action, CCO is the spot, because camp is your movie, and you're writing the plot.)
