Miranda is thankful to be part of the CCO team, returning to her YMCA roots in camping. Just under 20 years ago, Miranda was introduced to the YMCA as a summer camp counselor in North Carolina. For 13 years, Miranda worked in several capacities and locations in YMCA Camping, a highlight being the opportunity to lead the YMCA day and overnight camping conference for the Southeast for 2 years. In 2018, Miranda stepped away from camping to further her understanding of the YMCA and served as a Branch Executive Director in Asheville and Winston-Salem, NC. Miranda has always dreamed of returning to camping, specifically in Colorado at Camp Chief Ouray. She is thrilled to get back to providing safe, welcoming and fun spaces where kids can be their best selves. Miranda enjoys hiking, writing, swimming and eating chocolate. You will often see her exploring the property with her husband, 3 kids and dog.

Ben Baker (he/him) Email Ben Baker (he/him)

Joining the CCO team is a dream come true for Ben. He’s been part of the YMCA family since 2012, taking on roles as a Summer Camp Program Director, Children's Museum Education Director, after-school Program Director, and Senior Program Director for a residential YMCA summer camp. No matter the role, his heart has always been with the campers, students, and their families that he’s had the privilege to serve. Ben is especially excited to invest in the camp staff—helping them grow, lead, and create unforgettable experiences for campers. He wholeheartedly believes that you can teach a good person anything—and that goodness exists in everyone. He’s also deeply passionate about the transformative power of camp and the YMCA, and he’s honored to be a steward of CCO’s incredible legacy. Outside of camp, you’ll find Ben adventuring throughout nature with his wife, playing and recoding music, and is eager to camp, hike, ski, and skate across CCO’s breathtaking property.

Jacob Dahl (he/him) Email Jacob Dahl (he/him)

Jacob grew up as a camper at CCO and took part in many of our trip programs. In recent years, he never missed a staff auction—always showing up to meet the team and support the scholarship fund. Now, he’s officially back to lead the Trips program!

Emma Marshall (she/her) Email Emma Marshall (she/her)

Emma is excited to be a part of the year-round team at CCO after attending CCO as a camper and working seasonally for 6 summers. She graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in psychology and has experience working with multiple types of youth programming, including summer camps, before and after school care, and outdoor education. She is passionate about providing safe opportunities for youth to explore the outdoors, gain new skills, and develop into caring individuals. She loves sunny days, spending time with loved ones and working with her service dog-in-training.

Claudia Medina Email Claudia Medina

Claudia worked at CCO 4 summers as a cabin counselor, media intern, assistant summer camp director and day camp director. She grew up in Denver and graduated from Chapman University with a B.S. in Business Administration. She enjoys cooking, spending time with animals and friends, media, and taking long sunset walks with a warm breeze. Claudia loves all things camp and hopes to become more active outdoors now that she is in Granby. She is very happy and excited to join the year-round staff and help propel camp into the future.

Maggie Scannell Email Maggie Scannell

Maggie works closely with the local community and camp alumni to strengthen our CCO network. She also leads our philanthropy efforts, helping raise funds for our scholarship program that makes camp possible for many campers!
